What We Offer
We offer a range of professional development workshops that can be delivered at your school or workplace, or at our practice locations (for small groups). Our workshops are designed to provide clear, practical, foundational knowledge for educators and health professionals working with children and young people.
Our workshops are facilitated by Practice Director Dr. Kimberly Mercuri and our registered psychologists, with support from our provisional team where appropriate.
We can also tailor workshops to suit the specific needs of your team. Please contact us for more information about pricing and availability.

The Understanding Distress Behaviours in Children workshop is a practical 4-hour session designed to help educators and childcare professionals better understand why children behave the way they do when they’re overwhelmed. Using simple, easy-to-follow explanations of brain development and behaviour, this workshop shows how behaviour is a form of communication and what children may be needing in those moments.
Participants will learn how to recognise different types of distress behaviours and respond with clear, realistic strategies they can use both in the moment and during calmer times.
This is a popular workshop for schools and early childhood settings looking to build confidence, reduce challenging behaviour, and create calmer, more supportive learning environments.

The Understanding Neurodivergence in Children workshop is a practical 4-hour session designed to help educators, childcare professionals, and parents better understand how children think, learn, and experience the world differently. Using clear, easy-to-follow language, the workshop explores common neurodivergent profiles such as ADHD and autism, and what these may look like in everyday settings.
Participants will learn how to recognise differences in behaviour, communication, and regulation, and how to respond in ways that are supportive, respectful, and effective. With a strong focus on real-life strategies, this workshop helps build confidence, reduce misunderstandings, and create more inclusive, supportive environments for all children.
-
The Making Sense of Assessment Reports: A Practical Guide for Educators workshop is a 4-hour session designed to help teachers feel more confident reading and using student assessment reports, including cognitive, learning, and neurodivergence-based assessments.
Using clear, plain language, the workshop breaks down key sections of reports, what information is most relevant for the classroom, and how to interpret common terminology. It also provides a brief overview of common diagnostic presentations, such as ADHD and autism, to support understanding of the broader context.
Educators will learn what to focus on, what questions to ask, and how to translate assessment findings into practical, meaningful support for their students.
