REFERRALS & FEES

A referral is not needed to access our services. However, it can give you access to a government rebate.

Some of our clinicians also see client’s who access NDIS funding, either self or plan-managed, as well as those with treatment under TAC and Workcover. See our team page to see the type of referrals each of our therapists accept.

Therapy Fees

A general guide of our practice fees is presented in the table.

If you obtain a referral from a GP, peadiatrician, or psyciatrists you may be able to access a Medicare rebate of up to 10 sessions within a calendar year. Not all of our therapists are eligible for rebates.

Should you continue treatment after the 10 sessions have been fulfilled, consultations will attract the full fee. Rebates vary depending on psychologist.

All session fees must be be paid in full at the time of the appointment.

We do not Bulk Bill for sessions however we provide low cost sessions via our intern clinic.

Information about local Bulk Billing or low cost services can be found here.

Cancellation policy

Individual Consultations: Cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee. Unfortunately the Medicare rebate cannot be used to cover the cancellation fee. Reminder texts will be sent 48 hours prior to your appointment. In order to provide a high quality, specialised service, appointments need to be filled, as the cost of operating a practice exist whether or not a client attends their appointment. No future appointments will be made until payment of cancellation fee has been made. Monday appointments require confirmation or cancellation on the Friday prior, as this allows the practice time to offer available sessions to those on our waitlist.

Assessment sessions: A minimum notice period of one week is required to reschedule your assessment testing session. As these sessions are usually booked in 2hr increments, rebooking them in a timely manner can be very difficult. Reschedules can delay completion of assessments for a number of weeks.

Assessments

We are able to administer cognitive, educational, and
diagnostic assessments.

Fees vary depending on type of assessment and clinician who facilitated the process.

Fees for provisional psychologists are 50% lower than the cost of a fully registered psychologist.

An option for a combined assessment facilitated by an intern and one of our registered psychologists is also available as a lower cost alternative. Please contact our team for more information.

The fees for each individual assessment vary depending on the type of assessment. We offer a payment plan where the cost of the assessment is evenly distributed across the number of appointments. At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This will vary in amount depending on the type of assessment booked. We will send an online intake form which will include a secure payment form. Once completed the deposit will be processed.

More information about our assessment services can be found here.

Please see the table or contact the practice for further information about fees.

Diagnostic Letters

Diagnostic letters are now an option for adults interested in an assessment for personal understanding rather than funding purposes where a full comprehensive report is required. This is offered by our registered and senior psychologists only (including the Clinic Director). The assesment process remains the same however the output is a brief correspondence summarising the process and whether any diagnosis is identified. The cost of this is reduced depending on the assessment and clinician selected.

Please contact the practice to discuss this option further.
