Tess Douglas
APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE FROM WEEK STARTING 21ST JULY.
Tess is a provisional psychologist, completing her final semester in the Master of Clinical Psychology program at La Trobe University. She works collaboratively with clients using a person-centred, empowering, and neuro affirming approach to address a range of concerns and support clients in living more meaningful lives. Tess is committed to creating a non-judgemental, inclusive space where individuals feel respected, understood, and empowered to grow authentically.
Tess is available for individual therapy and diagnostic assessment (ADHD and Autism) for children, teens and adults.
Please note that for all clients aged 17 and younger, a parent session is required as the initial appointment. This allows Renata to obtain developmental history of the client and to understand the presenting concerns from a parent's perspective.
Teenage clients can attend the initial session but this will be split into two halves; first half parent and Tess and second half client/client and parent with Tess.

Therapy Style
Tess aims to provide a warm, empathetic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. She is passionate about supporting young people and views therapy as a collaborative journey to explore challenges and build on strengths. While she draws on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, her primary modality is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which supports clients in developing psychological flexibility and living in alignment with their values. Tess brings experience in health psychology, child and adolescent mental health, neuro affirming practices, and crisis support. Tess aims to help clients discover new perspectives, overcome challenges, and cultivate a deeper sense of purpose and wellbeing.
Fees
The fee to see Tess for therapeutic intervention is $60 per session. As she is a provisional psychologist her fee does not attract a Medicare rebate. Assessments attract different fees.
