TESS MARKWORT
Tess is a provisionally registered psychologist completing a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at Australian Catholic University. She adopts an emotion focussed, person centred approach to her work, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Tess is passionate about working with children and young people across a range of areas, including emotion regulation, self-esteem, anxiety, and developing strategies to support neurodivergence and education. She also values working alongside parents and caregivers, recognising their important role in supporting young people’s development and wellbeing.
Tess is available for individual therapy, and diagnostic assessment (IQ, ADHD, Autism) for children, adolescents, and adults. She splits her placement across our Coburg practice and one of our affiliated schools.
Please note that for all clients aged 17 and younger, a parent session is required as the initial appointment. This allows Eliza to obtain developmental history of the client and to understand the presenting concerns from a parent's perspective.
Teenage clients can attend the initial session but this will be split into two halves; first half parent and Eliza and second half client/client and parent with Eliza.
