Ellie Woodrow
APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE FROM WEEK STARTING 21ST JULY.
Ellie is a provisional psychologist, completing her final year in the Master of Clinical Psychology program at Latrobe University. She works collaboratively with clients to address the issues that brought them to therapy and to empower them as active participants in their own lives. With an appreciation of intersectionality, Ellie values the unique experiences each person brings and works to build an affirming space where all aspects of identity are respected and understood.
Ellie is available for individual therapy, and diagnostic assessment (ADHD, Autism) for children, adolescents, and adults. She splits her placement across our Coburg practice and one of our affiliated schools.
Please note that for all clients aged 17 and younger, a parent session is required as the initial appointment. This allows Ellie to obtain developmental history of the client and to understand the presenting concerns from a parent's perspective.
Teenage clients can attend the initial session but this will be split into two halves; first half parent and Ellie and second half client/client and parent with Ellie.

Therapy Style
While she draws on a range of evidence-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Ellie’s primary approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She finds ACT to be a powerful tool for helping people navigate difficult experiences and build connection to a life aligned with their values. Ellie has experience in youth mental health, crisis support, alcohol and other drug (AOD) services, and the music industry, which has given her a broad perspective on the challenges people face and a creative approach to therapy.
Fees
The fee to see Ellie for therapeutic intervention is $60 per session. As she is a provisional psychologist her fee does not attract a Medicare rebate. Assessments attract different fees.
