CLAUDIA DI FABIO
She/Her
APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE FROM WEEK STARTING 21ST JULY.
Claudia is a provisional psychologist, completing her final year in the Master of Clinical Psychology program at Latrobe University. She provides a compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy across the lifespan. Using strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Claudia works collaboratively to understand the developmental trajectory of behaviours that may support building personal agency, choice and insight. Claudia is available for individual therapy, and diagnostic assessment (ADHD, Autism) for children, adolescents, and adults. She splits her placement across our Coburg practice and one of our affiliated primary schools.
Please note that for all clients aged 17 and younger, a parent session is required as the initial appointment. This allows Claudia to obtain developmental history of the client and to understand the presenting concerns from a parent's perspective.
Teenage clients can attend the initial session but this will be split into two halves; first half parent and Claudia and second half client/client and parent with Claudia.

Therapy Style
Claudia is a warm and approachable therapist who has a compassionate, curious, caring and client-centred therapeutic style. She prioritises creating safe therapeutic relationships where clients can feel safe enough to explore different avenues that may come up during therapy and share personal experiences. Drawing on strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), she supports her clients to navigate problem areas that continue to show up in their life and support building personal agency, choice and insight.
Fees
The fee to see Claudia for therapeutic intervention is $60 per session. As she is a provisional psychologist her fee does not attract a Medicare rebate. Assessments attract different fees.
