LIVE WEBINAR: Working in Private Practice After General Registration. Wednesday 5th August 6pm - 8pm (AEST)
from A$40.00

Are you thinking about working in private practice as a psychologist, but unsure what the different options actually involve?

Private practice can look very different depending on the arrangement. You may be considering contracting, applying for a salaried role, joining a group practice, or eventually setting up on your own. Each pathway comes with its own benefits, challenges, responsibilities, and practical considerations.

This live 2-hour introductory webinar is designed for psychologists who are curious about private practice and want a clearer understanding of what to consider before taking the next step.

The webinar will provide a basic introduction to:

  • Different private practice arrangements, including contracting, salaried roles, group practice, and solo practice

  • Key benefits and challenges of each arrangement

  • Practical considerations when entering private practice

  • Questions to ask when deciding whether a role or arrangement is the right fit

  • Personal and professional factors that may influence your decision-making

This webinar may be suitable for provisional psychologists, early career psychologists, clinicians considering a move into private practice, or psychologists wanting to better understand the different ways private practice can be structured.

This webinar will be presented via Zoom on Wednesday 5th August 6pm - 8pm (AEST)

Early Bird pricing ends Wednesday 24th July.

About the Presenter

Dr. Kimberly Mercuri is a Clinical Psychologist and Practice Director of DKM Psychology, a small group psychology practice located in Coburg and Caulfield, Victoria.

Dr. Mercuri has been running DKM Psychology for six years, having opened the practice in the middle of the pandemic. Prior to moving full-time into her own practice, she worked across a range of private practice arrangements, including as a contractor in a group practice, an employee within a large psychology-based organisation, and as a solo practitioner.

Drawing on her experience across these different settings, Dr. Mercuri will share practical insights into the realities of private practice, including the professional and personal considerations that can shape career decisions.

What to Expect
