SONIA CARFI
Sonia is a provisional psychologist currently completing her final year of the Master of Psychology (Clinical) program at Federation University. She brings a thoughtful, compassionate and client-centred approach to her work, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive space where clients can feel listened to and understood. Sonia finds working with individuals to enhance wellbeing deeply rewarding and strives to support clients in a way that recognises their unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Sonia is available for individual therapy, and diagnostic assessment (including ADHD, Autism) for children, adolescents, and adults. She splits her placement across our Coburg practice and one of our affiliated schools.
Please note that for all clients aged 17 and younger, a parent session is required as the initial appointment. This allows Sonia to obtain developmental history of the client and to understand the presenting concerns from a parent's perspective.
Teenage clients can attend the initial session but this will be split into two halves; first half parent and Sonia and second half client/client and parent with Sonia.
